Water Tank Cleaning and Maintenance

Approximately every five years, the District has the interior and exterior of its water storage tanks inspected, cleaned and repaired to insure the tanks are in good working order to safely store water for future needs.  Historically, the District has been unable to facilitate the funding of storage tanks inspections and repair,  However, through best management practices and fiscal responsibility, tank inspection have been reinstituted.

As a result, the recent inspections revealed 1 tank in need of full replacement and one tank that can be repaired including re-coating of interior and exterior surfaces.  Cost estimates for repair and replacement have been obtained and future financial planning is in progress to secure those badly needed storage tanks to provide water to LPUD's customers

A tall vertical pipe extends from the floor to the ceiling in the center, and black grid-like elements cover the floor.
